.SH "DESCRIPTION"
.sp
2022-07-10 10:23:45 +03:00
The \fB nutscan_scan_ipmi()\fR function tries to detect IPMI manageable devices\& .
.sp
If \fI start_ip\fR is NULL, the function searches for a local PSU\& .
.sp
Otherwise, it searches for remote hosts that would serve IPMI protocols, and would try to authenticate using the data in \fI sec\fR structure\& . It issues a NUT request on every IP ranging from \fI startIP\fR to \fI stopIP\fR , where \fI stopIP\fR is optional\& . Those IP arguments may be either IPv4 or IPv6 addresses or host names\& .
2012-01-24 12:22:33 +02:00
.sp
You MUST call \fB nutscan_init\fR (3) before using this function\& .

.SH "BUGS"
.sp
Design or implementation of this function may be incomplete: until recently, this man page stated that it was not implemented yet\& . Source code is present, although some blocks are commented away or hidden with #if 0\& .
